The techniques described here are the result of over 15 years of note taking during my training. They are organized so you can access them in a number of easy ways: Search for text, select the starting position, ending position, skill level, category, etc.
They are incomplete and only represent a fraction of the wonderful breadth and depth of technique available in the ground fighting sports. I didn't start taking serious notes until late 1999, a full four years after starting training. These notes are possibly inaccurate in areas where my memory or learning prevents a faithful transcription. Above all, these notes help me get my thoughts together, commit my training to permanent memory, and share them with others so they can benefit. If you care to discuss them, send me email or comment on the BJJ technique videos I have cross-posted on YouTube. I'll do my best to get back with you.
I wish to thank the instructors who were the source for many of the techniques I have learned: Carlos Machado, Eddie Bravo, Travis Tooke, William Vandry, Royce Gracie, Ralph Gracie, Relson Gracie, Rodrigo Sahium, Rodney Solis, and Mike Elswick. I also thank their instructors, the fathers of BJJ, the Gracie family elders. Without them, there would be no Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in my life.
Finally, thanks the dozens of hard-working training partners and my students, who have worked with me to solve so many of the challenges encountered on the mats. You all inspire me to keep learning!

Needless to say, be careful when you try this stuff.
